As of September 2016, the AS9100 (Rev. D) Aerospace Quality Management System has been fully aligned with ISO 9001:2015, including introduction of new requirements specifically linked to Product Safety, Counterfeit Parts Prevention, Risk Mitigation, Human Factors and Configuration Management.
An inter-departmental, multi-functional team was formed to prepare and implement a detailed Transition Plan, updating all Quality Management System Documentation as required, whilst also raising the overall level of awareness throughout the entire Organisation through a series of Tool Box Talks, Staff Briefings, etc. A comprehensive internal audit was undertaken to ensure all necessary changes had been implemented, followed by a thorough review by the Senior Management Team.
Every area within the Organisation took part in the successful transition process, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales and Engineering, resulting in a ‘clean bill of health’ from the SGS Auditors, who were on-site for an entire week to inspect and review every aspect of the business.
The Organisation is very pleased and proud to have completed its transition to ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev. D, and is now part of a prestigious group of companies who have successfully implemented the required changes to meet the strenuous demands of these enhanced Quality Approvals.
